Here are the best outdoor activities and things to do and see in Santa Cruz de la Sierra including Alianza Carnavalera, Plaza 24 de Septiembre, Manzana Uno, el aeropuerto el trompillo Park, Pozo Petrolero, Mundo Azul Aquarium, Plazuela Blacutt, Plaza Máquina Vieja
Did not get a chance to go inside the brick cathedral, but saw it from the outside; the plaza (main square) a beautiful well kept (clean) town gathering square, there are some small shops around and near the town square, towns people were gathered with their elders and young this past Sunday afternoon; the plaza is adorned with Christmas trees at its four corners and its passageways are light up with clear Christmas lights.
The outside park is lovely with trees, sculptures and murals, with places to sit. Be Coffee across the street is a lovely place as well. The Manzana Uno art gallery has odd hours, some like 8am to noon and 4pm to 8pm but it's free and enjoyable, a few rooms of paintings on the walls.
It's a great pleace to visit in Santa Cruz. Museums, street art, local handcrafts and souvenirs... Just many things to see in this particular place. Highly recommended!
Zoos are never 100% happy places. Animals belong in their natural habitat. But, be that as it is, this zoo is fairly well cared for. With a nice variety of animals from the Bolivian countryside. And don't forget to look for one of the sloths. They're not in an exhibit, they just roam around the park... very sloooowly.
